About the project

From 04.07 to 04.29.2024, our organization hosted the professional practice, which is part of the project “Studying biotechniques in the field of hairdressing and graphic design” with contract number 2023-1-MK01-KA122-VET-000127040, which is co-financed by Erasmus+ program of the European Union. The project was implemented in partnership with the Macedonian school “Dimitar Vlahov” from the city of Skopje, North Macedonia.

The practice was for a total of 15 students (10 students from the specialty “hairdressing” and 5 students from the specialty “graphic arts”) and two accompanying teachers. The work activities were realized on the territory of the town of Sliven, Bulgaria

Instruction and discussion of the work program of the practice

PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE OF STUDENTS FROM THE PROFESSION “PERSONAL SERVICES”

The students from the “personal services” profession were divided into two groups – 5 students practiced in the “Melanie Style” hairdressing salon, and the other five in the “Marilyn” hairdressing salon.

The students had the opportunity to get to know the professional path of the two hairdressers who were their mentors during the work activities, to learn a little more about the regulations related to hairdressing, to work in a real working environment and to learn new conventional and bio techniques in hairdressing.

We thank Milena Dimitrova and Stanimira Valeva for taking the students into practice and allowing the students to “steal” from their craft.

PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE OF STUDENTS FROM THE PROFESSION “GRAPHIC ARTS”

Students from the profession “graphic arts” major generally practiced at the “Art Mig” advertising agency and got to know the history of the company, the services the advertising agency offers to clients, and also the daily work processes related to the production of advertising materials. Thanks to Daniela and Konstantin Badjevi for their time and for being part of our project!

WORKSHOPS AND VISITS

Visit to “Dimitar Dobrovich“ NHG – Sliven

The students from this major also visited the National Art High School “Dimitar Dobrovich” and had a presentation of the school and the majors being studied by the director Alexander Doichinov. We thank Mr. Doichinov for the warm welcome!

Climatic fresco with Blagovesta Popova

Students from both majors had the opportunity to play Climate Fresco – an educational workshop / board game with cards each representing a climate change factor. Thanks to her, the participants went through a fascinating process that helped them discover the relationship between the causes and consequences related to climate change and look for possible solutions to get out of the crisis.
During this workshop we talked about how serious the consequences of climate change could be, discussed possible solutions, drew and played outdoor games. We thank Blagovesta Popova-Petkova for the emotion and for being part of our activities!

A hands-on exercise with Illustrator

The students also had a presentation and workshop from Simeon Atanasov, the owner of Simple Studio – a graphic design and programming studio, and had the opportunity to learn a little more about Adobe Illustrator while creating a logo redesign for our GreenBurg project.
