From 01.02.2023, the organization „Center for Active Youth – Together We Can” launched a project named „Greenburg” with contract number 2022-3-BG01-K154-YOU-000097409, co-financed by the „Erasmus+” Program of the European Union. The project will be implemented in the city of Burgas with a total duration of 6 months. The project will be implemented in partnership with the association „Burgas Open Space”.
The project is the result of the practical part of the training for project writing under the “Erasmus+” Program Key Activity 1, “Youth” sector, organized by the Municipality of Burgas for its citizens.
With the „Greenburg” project, we aim to increase the motivation and awareness of the environmental protection of Burgas’ youth between the ages of 15-19 and to provide a space for dialogue between young people and the local government.
With this project, we also want to initiate new partnerships with local organizations and public institutions in order to create a network of stakeholders to partner with on the issue. We also want to give a platform to the youth to voice their opinions and needs on the subject.
Lectures are planned in four high schools in Burgas by lecturers from organizations related to ecology, as well as the organization of Ecofest „Greenburg”. For this purpose, a team of four young people was formed, who will have the opportunity to gain experience in coordinating projects financed by the program, organizing a festival, popularizing project results, etc.
